The owner had been working with other trainers and seen good progress, yet her dog would still react unpredictably. As soon as we began, I could sense that this wasn’t random at all; it was about energy.The Role of Energy in Dog BehaviourEnergy is a powerful, often overlooked element in dog training. Every living being has a unique energy or vibrational field. For dogs, who are naturally energy-sensitive, this vibrational world is essential to their everyday communication and behaviour. By recognising energy, we uncover what I call the “missing peace” in training — a deeper understanding that helps us see why dogs react as they do.Observing Energy in ActionDuring our session, we walked through a local area where we encountered several other dogs. By paying attention to each dog’s energy, I could actually predict which dog our reactive friend would struggle with, before they even came near us. It wasn’t about how the other dog looked, acted, or its breed. It was purely about the energy it carried.When I pointed this out, the owner was amazed. She could see, maybe for the first time, how her dog’s behaviour was linked to the vibrational cues around her. I shared tips on how to start noticing these cues — something that, over time, will help her guide her dog with far more ease and empathy.A New Way Forward for Reactive DogsThe results were immediate. After just one session, the owner noticed a shift. Other dog walkers even commented on how calm her dog was compared to before.
